Rainforests of Nuboso Santa Elena A lush virgin forest dripping with bird and amphibious species, monkeys and arboreal mammals.
My most precious photo yet. Our guide had not seen a jaguar use the Amistad-Chirripo corridor in 12 years.     A snapping twig signalled our presence. She looked us right in the eye. Manners were forgotten as a torch was flashed in her beauti ful face and she was gone in all but 3 seconds. Here she will be revered as a Goddess amongst the Biri and Tepiki Indians. Abroad she is a carpet or a fur coat. Taken in Amistad Biosphere Reserve, near Chirripo.
